An international focus on a growing reality
The world’s population is ageing and will continue to do so in the coming years.
SilverEco says that the proportion of the global population aged 65 years or older is anticipated to increase from 10% in 2022 to 16% in 2050. During that time, the projected number of individuals aged 65 years and above worldwide is expected to surpass twice the count of children under the age of 5 and be roughly equivalent to the number of children under the age of 12.
Here at AgeGroup, we know that in the UK alone that over 50s will make up around 40% of the population by 2040.
This is a growing demographic that none of us can afford to ignore or be blind to!
